October 21, 200718 yr My txt 300 stopped today on a trial after running rough on bottom end then back fired and stopped. Im not getting any spark at the plug and all connections are good and dry so any ideas. My mates son has a 125 so is it possilbe to swap CDI units on 125 to a 300 to test.
October 21, 200718 yr try the spark plug cap from your sons bike, from what you have said it sounds exactly like mine was and all mine needed was a new plug cap, they seem to be a regular problem on the gassers
October 21, 200718 yr check the small black and white earth wire from your cdi plug it might look ok but they can break just inside cdi plug. replace with larger wire.

October 27, 200718 yr To stop this from happening again, remove the woodruff key and lap the flywheel and crankshaft tapers together with some very fine grinding paste, can even mix it with Brasso for a finer mix. Bye, PeterB.
