I know where the drain plug is, but I presume the filler is the plastic cap on the right hand side with the breather tube coming off it?

1) Is this correct?

2) Why is there a breather tube on it? ;)

    From memory yes that is the filler cap as to why there is a breaher on it I couldn't really say?
