Hello - we (hubby & I) are new to this site & new to Trials. Tomorrow we are going to p/u hubby's first 'bike' - It's a 1997 Beta Lampkin Replica 285cc....but when I try to research it, all that comes up are 250's.....any suggestions?......a 285cc does exist, right? Also, any links for beginners (especially videos) would be greatly appreciated.

I seem to remember there being a 280 kit for the Techno. In reality if this is his first trials bike and it is in good shape then a 250 will provide all the power he can handle. Welcome to the sport.

Thanks so much for your input - we picked up hubby's new toy today - he has Always wanted a Trials 'bike' - we think it's a 1998 according to the info (frame#) provided by the other response - but the seller insisted it was a 285.......we'll know soon enough --- Pat's gotta 'do his thing' - tune it up, ck it out, etcetcetc.
