Riding Spots Around Newark, Notts?

Featured Replies

Hi,

Ive recently moved to a village near newark from kent and am now without anywhere to ride, could anyone recommend any places in or around this area?

Many thanks,

Fraser

sadly local legal places to practise are a little thin on the ground, you could join lincoln motor club who run trials at methringham quarry a key may be available as well to club members ,theres a cub at peterbourgh who have local events as well.other than that theres mick andrews at matlock and hawks nest at buxton but these are a good hour and a bit to get to.

luckily there are some excellrnt clubs not to far away and some great trials in south yorks/ derbyshire and lincs.

The problem up here is that the going is not the same as Kent, especially if you go the Lincoln's quarry as it;s all big rocks.

I would suggest the Pegasus club which is 30mins down the A1 or the Banovallum which runs trials near Cadwell Park, other than that you have Sheffield & Hallamshire (heard a rumour they have lost Eadons Fields, hope not as it's a crackeing trial).

Sheffield & Hallamshire have not lost Eadons although there is a new landowner.

Next trial there is 27th December.

hi there we live in nottingham we go to 2 sites near matlock you are more then welcome to came along
