Reading other post the normal thing to do to a Pre 65 bike is to fit more modern internals into the front forks, has anyone tried fitting modern internals into there twinshocks forks, or is it that modern forks are just so much thicker?

I've got a TY 175 that could seriously do with something doing with the front forks, i was thinking of perhaps putting some more modern springs into it any ideas what might fit?

    I have heard that fitting TY250 forks may help. Apparently thicker and stronger.
