February 3, 200818 yr 2008 Beta's with Keihin carbs: I can't be the only one having this problem? The flexible wire or cable that is "attached" to the air mixture screw has come apart two times now on my bike. The first time it happened I removed the air screw and soldered the cable back in, but I guess I didn't do a good job because it has come apart again. So, I re-soldered it and believe I did a good job this time, so I hope it stays. Just to note, I didn't twist or turn the cable excessively to make it come apart. I've only made practical adjustments as needed to adjust for temperature...or slight adjustments. I've almost come afraid to make adjustments for the fear of it coming apart again and spending 1/2 hour fixing it again.... I would hate for this to happen during an event. So, any advice or alternatives available?
February 3, 200818 yr Mine is the same it done my head in so much ive just took it off altogether, the bike is running spot on at the moment, obviously ill have to put it back on if it plays up.
