February 3, 200818 yr hi there can anyone help me has the b40 top yoke got any mounting brks on it for the clocks and such like as i have just got one with no brks on and i woundered if it was a compertition one can anyone help
February 4, 200818 yr The army B40 and the starfire used the same top yoke with 2 threaded holes for a speedo. The civilan B40 and the Ceefer had the speedo in the headlight nacelle so no mounts on the top yoke. The c15t also used the one with the clock mounts as it had a speedo fitted as standard.
February 4, 200818 yr Author thanks for the reply but this top yoke has nothing at all and it looks like its not been messed with also the re is 2 blanks underneth the top yoke which i think should be threaded but as i say they are just blanks is this correct
February 5, 200818 yr Yes - even the yokes with no speedo maounts seemed to have blank bosses underneath - I suspect they used the same bottom half of the molds and differnt top halves hence the blank bosses underneath but not on top. There are also a couple of different offsets - I once bought a speedo mountless top yoke bu the offset of the fork leg holes from the steering stem hole was about 1/2" more.
