February 7, 200818 yr Hi All, I've got an 04 Rev3, and i'm having a problem with chain joiner link clipping the clutch bleeder valve, near the CS. Any ideas on what I can try to fix it? I've adjusted the chain, swapped the clips so they both point out, and the circlips are facing back. It only contacts under load and the CS seems to have a bit of slack in the cog is this normal? Any ideas appreciated.
February 7, 200818 yr I think a bit of slack is normal, at least I have had a bit in both my Betas, if the slack is lateral on the shaft though then you may be able to remedy your problem with a spacer washer beside the front sprocket. I'll have a look at my bike some time and see what the gap is like. Good luck, mine knocks on the back of the peg bracket if I have the link in the wrong way round. Bob
February 7, 200818 yr As bob said they do tend to catch on the inside of the footrest hanger this is normal that is why they from factory put the split link clip tp the inside. But as for rubbing on the clutch slave cylinder bleed nipple it should not be any whare near that unless someone has fitted it incorrectly, the banjo bolt and nipple should be virtical!
February 8, 200818 yr Author Found it. An extra wide joiner link had been used and it had an extra spacer on the back of it. Replaced the joiner, problem solved.
