July 14, 200422 yr In the recent world mountain bike round at Fort William, well known female trials rider Maria Conway came 12th, beating many seasoned proffesionals from around the world, having previously done 4 or 5 downhill races (not world championship races, i hasten to add). I guess flying across the moors at the SSDT really does sharpen the reflexes. The men's winner averaged 38MPH, (yes 38MPH, on a mountain bike!!) Edited July 14, 200422 yr by monty-python
July 14, 200422 yr My mind began to wonder when I read the title of this post... Maria Conway = Hidden Talents! Edited July 15, 200422 yr by boofont
July 14, 200422 yr Yeah I was speaking to Maria at the weekend at the French European. She has just got back from Austria world downhill and said she hasn't ridden a trials bike since May and is still able to get 3rd place with ease. A girl with natural Talent! She said 'she is also really enjoying her Downhill riding', she has only done 5 races and has just been picked to ride for Great Britain in Poland at the end of the month. So good luck to you girl but please don't give up with trials you are one hell of a rider
