yamahaty250xox Posted February 11, 2008 Report Share Posted February 11, 2008 hi all did a local trial on sunday and for no reason my bike just blew all its water out of the raidiator overflow pipe. it was running well and then all hel broke lose and went up in a cloud of steam. i have had this problem before when the fan stoped working but this time the new fan is quite happy buzzing away doing its job. i have no idea on how to sort this out apart from set fire to the bloomin thing any help aprecated! max Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

neil king Posted February 12, 2008 Report Share Posted February 12, 2008 Make sure your fan is running above idle. When I had an overheat problem the fan ran fine at idle but givi it some gas and the fan would quit. The was a wire broken on a capacitor that is attached to the voltage regulator. yamahaty250xox Posted February 12, 2008 Author Report Share Posted February 12, 2008 yes there was no air in the system. i used the small bolt on the cylnder head to make sure. i started it up last night and it seamed to be fine but then started to drip slightly out of the tube agen. this is realy confuzing me! ishy Posted February 12, 2008 Report Share Posted February 12, 2008 (edited) Are you leaving some room for expansion, it will push coolant out of the overflow until it finds the right level.
