2001 Txt280 Fan Trouble

Featured Replies

have 01 280 when engine gets hot the fan cuts in but only for about 10 seconds then goes off again.had a beta and when that got hot the fan was on for quite a bit before going off.can some one who has a 280 tell me how long there fan stays on for.cheers (oh and how much is a piston for the txt280)

Sounds like it's working fine to me ? If it's cutting in and out then the thermostat is doing its job but if you have any doubts, stick a new thermostat in (though it'll probably be just the same). Double check your coolant level as a low level will confuse the thermostat and also make the engine run hot.

As for prices, give Gas Gas UK a call on 01298 766813 with all the details of your bike - frame/engine number, year, model etc.

GJ
