315r Won't Start

Featured Replies

My son's 2001 315R won't start. It started OK in morning but 2hr s later nothing. There is no spark. I've checked the kill switch and it's ok and tried another plug. Can anyone recommend next step please?

Had a similar problem with mine and it turned out to be the stator coils breaking down.It would run fine then stall with no spark then approx 2-3 hrs later the spark would reappear for a short while.

The only time my Mont failed to spark it turned out to be a dirty coil earth. Or at least that's what I believe it to have been. I looked at every electrical connection and earthing point etc, and cleaned the lot. The coil earth was quite trusty as it happens.

Bike started first kick, and has continued to do so ever since. Worth checking out :banana2:
