February 28, 200818 yr Not really sure what is going on here, but there is a plea in TMX for results sheets, photograhps, programmes and the sorts to prove the activity of motorcycle events going back to the 1960's. If any one has these they need to email lynda@mauntrials.fsnet.co .uk or fax it to 01623 628176. Anyone know what is going on ?
February 28, 200818 yr I spotted that as well - sounds like there's complaints about the continued land usage similar to Addingham, but Ive scoured the net and can't find anything. Be a shame its a cracking venue.
February 28, 200818 yr Their was some problems with usage a while back. All my family wrote in to the council in support but got little back. I know that when Terry Crabtree had spoken with the council they'd only mentioned the complaints and not the supporters. Pretty sure they've even complained about the toilets being there. Going to check through my photos and results but that'll only be back to around 1982-83 Really sad that people haven't got anything better to complain about! February 28, 200818 yr You might just find there is more much more to this and why than meets the eye. Agree we should all do or very best to preserve the land for Trials usage but certain vested interests may be hard to overcome. Real pandoras box this one allegedly of course
