Fiting New Piston Kit

Featured Replies

Hi there just stripped top end to fit a new piston kit and small end to my 06 250 pro because of low ,ish compression and a bit of noise top end , and noticed when i push kickstart down and rotate conrod transmission oil is visible . Is this normal for the pro as i recall an earlier post saying that the mains are lubed by trans oil but not sure .The bike didnt smoke much and didnt smell like it was burning ATF . Cheers for any help :rotfl:

The main crank bearings are lubricated by transmission fluid in the Pro. I wouldn't worry if a little oil is at the bottom of the case. It is usually a mixture of normal condensation and premix oil that has settled off the walls and is normal.

Thanks for your reply, on checking further i think it may well be premix oil as you say .PHEW. :rotfl:
