Just repacked the exhaust silencer, couldn't find any sign of restrictor bars in there, apparently not all of the restriction should be removed. Can any one enlighten me? A pic of what they should look like would be great.

I had one of the very first TYS125's (from Nov 03). I removed all of the restrictors and it ran no problem for the 2 years I had it, so personally I wouldnt worry.

I know Birketts recommend leaving one restrictor in. All the restrictos are are around 6mm dia rods welded through the perforated tube. They are spaced down the length and they circulate the exhaust gas as it exits.

Ah well seeing as the tube had rotted away perhaps they all fell out! Nice new stainless tube in there now, no bars.
