May 26, 200818 yr Has anyone modded the rear brake lever on their TY mono to make it more accessible? I never noticed how tucked away it is until I started riding a Montesa as well. Was thinking of cutting it and welding on a piece of metal or something from another brake pedal to extend it out half an inch or so. What do you reckon?
May 26, 200818 yr Yep thats exactly what I did. I got a peice of flat bar put v slots in it with an angle grinder then welded it to the front of the brake lever. Then bent it around and welded it to the back of the lever. Probably moved it out about 3/4's of an inch no problems using it now. Let me know if you want to see a picture of the lever.

June 16, 200818 yr I just bent mine out, the actual lever that you put your foot on? They bend every time you fall off any way, I just stuck a big crowbar between the lever and the frame and gently levered it out.
