Main things that come to mind are :

Excessive slack in the rear linkage, by lifting the rear

Excessive slack in the main bearings, by lifting the flywheel with the (3screws and cover off)

Then you can go to chain gears and wheel bearings!

Steering head bearings turn smoothly!

Do not expect perfection, but workable at that year, much depends upon proper maintenance~

Well I ended up buying it, the rear linkage was shot but the motor sounds well and everything else is ok, the lad was after a quick sale to pay for his CORGI registration for work so I got it for a reasonable
