just bought a TXT 250 Andorra 2000 model and need some form of handbook / manual to get me going. anyone got one / sell / download etc.

any thoughts on this bike? performance, issues, problems etc

the swing arm has a cast number on it with 2002 at the end? what this all about?

whats the difference between an andorra and others models?

any advice will be helpful. last trials bike i had was TY250 mono 1984ish.

I had a 99 andorra, my first modern after twinshocks great bike, traded it for a beta not sure it was a great move, a lot of people prefer the txt to the pros.

I was told the only difference with the andorra were the graphics no other change to a txt , cant swear on it though.

Andyh,

You'll find a lot of goodies at http://www.trialspartsusa.com/tech.html and other than graphics and plastic, the 2001 manual should cover just about all your bike parts from what I remember. As far as I know, the "Andorra" designation referred to graphics, rather than mechanical differences. The "2002", I'm guessing, is just the end numbers of the parts number of the swingarm. The 2000 on up models were at the end of their evolutionary chain and quite bulletproof if taken care of in a reasonable way (i.e. as recommended).

As in buying any used bike, do NOT make any assumptions as to the level of care from the previous owner. You'll want to check and lube ALL bearings on the whole bike and refresh all fluids if you want reliable performance in the future.

Too bad the factory doesn't have a site (in English) where someone could order EVERYTHING GasGas-related. That's a good suggestion for them.

I've found a site in Germany: http://www.gasgas.de/ but the early parts lists are essentially unreadable, even in Spanish.

The TrialsPartsUSA is about the best I know of for all-around info.

many thanks for the replies. just been out today (Warden Law, Seaham) and it performed great. very responsive and torquey. different to the TY250 Mono ive just sold.

downloaded the strange parts guide (pictures instead of CAD drawings) and the 'how to understand the chassis number. i ran the bike with 100ml oil per 5l of petrol. seems ok.
