August 4, 200818 yr So far ive been riding in jeans all the time, and im getting to the point where im finding them restrictive. (after they ripped on me!) Im considering buying a proper pair of trials trousers (for lack of a better word). my only gripe about them is that they are skin tight and while everyone is wearing them, they still seem a bit odd to me! (and slightly homo-erotic). also, the price tag is pretty steep, are they that had wearing and should I expect them to last? Im looking at some Hebo Pro-09's at 90 quid, anyone got any good/bad things to say about them? also i have no idea what size to go for! im a 32 leg and 32 waste, would that be a medium then? Any help appeciated =] Tom
August 4, 200818 yr They don't have to be skin tight unless you prefer them that way Jitsie, Clice, Hebo and Raw Sports all do baggier ones (ie. not lycra) For size I would check with the individual brand, one thing does seem to be the legs are short in order not to have a load of bulk to stuff in your boots. Doesn't look right if you wear anything other than trials boots though. I've just changed from wearing combat pants to a pair, not sure how they last but definately more comfortable and the padding is in all the right places (I have the Raw ones and they even have a pad to protect my wotsit, or make it look bigger, not sure yet!!). To be honest i would feel bad subjecting you all to podgey me in a skin tight one peice. get yourself some trousers like tt5th has they even have crotch padding that makes you look well hung! August 5, 200818 yr Hi Tom, I still have a pair of Hebo trial pants that still look good after 16 years use - on and off. They wear well, come out clean in the wash and not sweaty in the summer. Only real problem is that the material is easily burnt from touching a hot exhaust pipe. Need a carbon fibre shield. They don't feel heavy when soaked too, not like jeans, were fine in the SSDT. Any help appeciated =] Tom The best deal is to forget the trials gear and pickup some Moose Qualifier pants. The Qualifier line is made from a much thinner material than regular motocross stuff, but not the flimsy stretchy material, found in trials gear, that tears so easily. Unfortunately, we just lost a good source that sold them for less than $40 a pair. Places like www.denniskirk.com have them for $59.95, but you should be able to do better than that. With a little searching, it is usually pretty easy to get two pair shipped to your door, for the same cost a a pair of trials pants.
August 5, 200818 yr I prefer enduro or MX pants, brand is not important, if you can go to a bike shop and try a few on to see how the fit and look, some are a bit too flashy for me, the moose qualifer looked like a good choice
