August 5, 200818 yr Hi, Can anyone tell me what their thoughts are about the Beta 270 Rev3 2006 bike. Is this more difficult to ride than a 250 for someone who is fairly new to trials.Are they reliable. Thanks.
August 5, 200818 yr I had an 06 - 270 for about 16 months, they are a great bike and reliable next to others. I used to keep the flywheel weight on in the winter and take it off once the mud dried, they have plenty of go on tap but not as fierce as the current 270 Rev 3's. Also stuck some Boyesen reeds in it which considerably smoothed the power delivery and dropped the gearing a tooth on the front. You would notice a big difference in power against the 250 and I'd say go for a 250 if you can get one, the 270 is a great bike (apart from the carb) and you will have fun on it but much more likely to get you in trouble more often. The aftermarket jet kit is well worth a buy if it isnt already fitted and have a look on R2W's site if you find large pools of petrol on the garage floor Edited August 5, 200818 yr by The Addict
