Beta Clutch Prob

Featured Replies

new to trials have been offered a 99 techno but there is a prob with clutch will not disengage until engine been run for 20mins to warm up then still diff told its had a new master and slave cylinder plus clutch plates renewed wondering if any one any ideas to cause

the first question to ask is if the gearbox oil is new? if it is you will have to check what type the oil is. if it has really thick gear box oil the clutch will not work properly. take the fille cap off and give it a sniff. if it is foul smelling its probably car gearbox oil. drain it out and replace with silkoline light gear oil its only

Gday, this seems to be a bit common on the older Techno's. I used ATF (Automatic Trans Fluid, Dex 3) in my 99 and it helped considerably. If it doesnt work, check those steels as mentioned above.

Cheers,

Stork
