August 25, 200818 yr Correct me if i'm wrong, but isn't this a 1998 model TX with some badly applied "2002" stickers being passed off as a 2002 model? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...:PIC&ih=002
August 25, 200818 yr TXXT's did overlap the pro's in 2002 and 2003 but I would have thought that they were 250 or 280 rather than 270's?

August 25, 200818 yr TXXT's did overlap the pro's in 2002 and 2003 but I would have thought that they were 250 or 280 rather than 270's? 1999 was the last year with the 270. But you are right about the overlapping. The only "legal" explanation could be that this IS a 2002 TXT 250/280 Edition equipped with a 98 tank. Hard to say if the saddle is one piece or two. If it is two then it is possible that this is a 2002... -Jan
August 25, 200818 yr own a 98 tx125 looks just the same apart from colour ... and dodgy 2002 graphics
August 25, 200818 yr That is actualy pretty shocking, so clearly a 98 model with some really dodgy 2002 stickers on the front mudguard and frame. Im pretty sure that guy knows what he's doing, just hope some poor sod doesn't buy it thinking that there getting an 02 bike.

The forks are the pre-2001 three-piece lower leg, for instance. Hey, maybe it has 2002 premix fuel in the tank..... Jon
August 26, 200818 yr This bike looks like a 1998 270 with 2002 odd ball stickers added. Maybe the seller has no idea what it is, only going by the stickers. Maybe he really does know. Bye, PeterB.
August 26, 200818 yr I thought that was Jon's '02 Pro for a minute! HIGHLY MODIFIED- in the wrong direction!!!!!!!!!!!! He likes old stuff, you know! Now where can I find a chrome frame for this Sherco?
August 26, 200818 yr its not an 02. i have an 02 Pro and unless the frame styles where that different from the Pro and TXTs its not an 02. liiks like a 1999 or 2000 to me. i dont think the 270 was made in 02 either.
August 26, 200818 yr copemech Posted Yesterday, 10:50 PMNow where can I find a chrome frame for this Sherco? huh.gif I'll sell ya my Chrome 2000 Sherco frame!!! And with it being a "Vintage" frame that means it is worth more. Also with all the extra "restoration" welds it must be so much stronger. I will part with it for the low low price of a new 2008 or 2009 Sherco!!!!
August 28, 200817 yr Its not an 02. Judging from the full face helmet and goggles that are prime for trials I would assume that the person who owns this thing does not know much about it. 97 98 or 99. but ask for the vin and you will be for sure. 277 278 or 279 should be either in the vin or on a part on the bike. 27=270 and 7 8 or 9 is the year. --Biff PS some one missing one of these in Sheffield????
