During the Manx Two Day last weekend on two occasions I experienced fluid spurting out of the overflow pipe which exits just above the exhaust, right by your knee when sitting down.

I was wondering whether this could just be excess being pushed out of the system as on both occasions the engine was being worked quite hard. I had topped up the rad prior to the event so thought maybe this could be the problem.

There were no other problems and when the engine had cooled off a bit everything was fine.

Cubby, you need to leave some space for expansion of the coolant. Excess will be spent!

I had topped mine up before hand too Cubby, topped it up until you could see it at the top of the rad. Didn't mention that at the weekend but i had no such problems, but it might of had something to do with crap on the front of the rad stopping the air getting to it or it was just running at an unsualy high temperature!
