Engine Oil

Featured Replies

Bought gasgas txt250 pro 07 few weeks back.

Currently has red coloured oil in and wanted to replace with the same. Got some from Halfords earlier called Castrol Actevo, but not sure if its the right stuff.

Anyone know what it should be?

Just starting out in trials so not to sure. Also does anyone know of any good sites for parts?

Thanks Garry

That would be ATF-type F. Its red and recomended by GG.

Im not familiar with Castrol Actevo, but just in case, Do not use 100% synthetic oil.

That's my guess also. We did a lot of testing over here and found the Ford Type-F ATF seemed to work a little better under severe circumstances with the newer clutches that have the lighter Belville springs, rather than the Dexron ATF, which seemed to provide a little less "bite" when hot.

I use Motul 710 in my GG. The 710 is the green stuff and the red is 800 but is only recommended for enduro and motox. GG uk recommend the 710 for trials. try the gas gas uk online shop it is very good.

gasgasgj - are you referring to premix oil or tranny/clutch fluids? I was assuming you were talking about what to use in the transmission/clutch.
