Gas Gas Pro 05

Featured Replies

i am thinking of buying a new pro 05 this year. however a friend of mine is warning me against it as they are prone to faults. any advice?

As a GasGas rider turned Sherco, I would say - boll**ks.

Get him to elaborate on the problems. Probably talking about a few years ago. I had those problems but would definitely be tempted by any of:

Sherco, GasGas, Beta, Montesa.

Everyone has their stories, but really they're all pretty damned good at the moment.

All you've got to look at really is price, local dealer support, and personal preference after trying them.

wahoo some sence

Your right there.

.....y the hell u leave gg for sherco!!! nutter!!

Like Bikespace said, they are all pretty much there right now, or there abouts I think. For the first time in a while I have been impressed with what Gas Gas has done. When I tried the new 05 I thought it was good, but we were told it had to be repacked to get it like that. Which for a brand new bike is cr*p. May have been just that bike but I have heard it's been done on a number of them.

They are starting to get a little something like it now I think. In a few years time I expect the GasGas will be quite a good bike although I still don't see it as anything to challenge the Montesa and the Beta inless you take matters into your own hands and do a fair bit of work to it.
