Hi All,

I have coerced a mate into taking up the sport. His budget is very limited and he's not done any off road riding at all. He is considering trials, enduro, green laning etc.

Ebay has an RTX on for

First find your bargepole then don't touch the bike with it. A beginner, particularly one on a restricted budget, needs a reliable bike that runs well and has a ready spares supply. I suspect the RTX qualifies on none of these counts. The only two I ever saw seemed to have a power band somewhat narrower than a road racing two stroke.

I used to own one back in my school boy days an i found it an ok bike, if on a limited budget why not try it an see what he thinks for that money it shouldn't be hard to get rid of if he doesn't like it an he aint spent a fortune ;):D

Don't go there. Another hundred quid will buy a early TY 250 Mono. Can't go wrong. Maybe a 175 ty another safe bet. Leave the RTX alone FFS. :D
