Just on cleaning the carb on my 97 mont fitted with 04 carb.

manual says 1 turn out, previous owner said 3 and 3/4.

bike seems to run well but has a sort of slapping pinking noise sometimes on pick up?

    Just managed to get in touch with previous keeper. 3-4 is correct for the carb that is fitted

    and the probable cause of noise is water in the carb!
