December 3, 200817 yr Thanks to BVM and all the trials importers for putting on another excellent test day. This year the location was Nettleton Quarry near Birdlip and the course had been set out by Steve Saunders. Early on the ground was rock hard frozen but as the sun burnt through the clouds, the conditions turned a lot slippier offering a perfect set of conditions to try out al of the lastest machines. During the lunch break some of the sponsored riders put on a bit of a show, including a sidecar team who were getting up a step that I wouldn't even look at on my solo machine. Here's a couple of snaps (sorry for the poor quality) I'm sure there will be some better ones later on. Alexz Wigg making the 'no run up' step look easy! My daughter Jessica with her Hero... December 3, 200817 yr What an awesome day. Well done to all the organisers. Highlight was definetly riding the new 250 evo............just got to start saving now!!!!
December 4, 200817 yr Author I didn't get a go on the 250, but the 290 switched to 'soft power' really suited my limited ability. It felt smooth and progressive not unlike my Scorpa in the bottom end but with the capability to simply flatten the biggest climbs. I wasn't expecting the 'big' evo to be so easy to ride. Very impressed indeed!
