New Boots

Featured Replies

I want a new pair of boots for xmas, only ever had Hebo before and have been pretty happy with them but fancy a change.

Any suggestions, good value for money, pro/cons ?

Wore Alpinestars last year after several years in Hebo's, the Alpinestars were amazingly comfy but didn't last long. I got a full year out of a pair of Hebo's and the Alpinestars were ditched by the end of the scottish so 5 months. Been watching the MRS riders this year and have been impressed with the Quality of Gaerne so i tried a pair on at the Dirt Bike Show. They feel comfier than my last boots and a lot tougher. Hopefully they'll last a fair amount of time.

having tried a few different boots in the last few years ,i ended up using Gaerne oiled's. as long as you look after them they are completley waterproof and very comfy. i use the correct Gaerne waterproofing supplied by MRS.

but....its all down to budget and more importantly, do they fit, and feel comfortable. a good few years ago i bought a pair of alpinestars to do enduros in, they were the latest "must have"........awful.......i couldnt finish an event before my feet hurt so bad i couldnt concentrate. dont buy of the internet unless you've tried some on first.

I've had a pair of Stone 3's for a year now and love them. Still have my stone 2's as well and they are ok for a turn.

Depends how hard you are on them, but I would say the Diadoras are comfy, fairly waterproof (at least to start with) and seem to last pretty well.

I've had a pair of XC-ting Section Evolution boots for a while now. They are really comfy and as good i think, than hebo's, which i have had previously. They have worn well and have very good waterproofing to start with but, after a while, like many other brands the waterproofing wears off. I found it lasted longer on these than my hebo's. Resonable price too.
