Hi I have a pair of gaerne boots, waterproofing seems to of worn off there now, any body recommend substance to buy to re water proof them or recommend new pair of boots?

nikwax very good stuff

I use Altberg Leder-Gris on mine and it works a treat. Give Altberg a ring to mail order it as you don't see it about much.

Second vote for Nikwax, great stuff. Easy to put on and works a treat.

Third vote, Nikwax................ just make sure that you spend time rubbing the Wax into the Leather with your fingers and not just smear it on. Also, remember to pay particular attention to all the seams and Stitchwork as this is where the Boots will fail, plus the more often you do this ( Particularly when boots are getting wet a lot ) the longer your Boots will last and stay waterproof !

Most of these treatments work best when your boots are still damp, stuff them with paper, treatment on, leave and the treatment is drawn through. Job done. ( for this week anyway)

i use the proper gaerne waterproofing stuff, works really well ,you can get it from the sherco importer MRS.

Another vote for Nikwax, brilliant stuff. Keeps the boots in good condition too!

Beef dripping is good and smells great when the exhaust lands on youre leg.
