January 2, 200917 yr just picked up a '98 315 montesa and am after a bit of advice for setting the suspension up for a lardy. 19St (266 lbs) My enduro bike is set up fine as i've had yrs of experience but i haven't had a trials bike for 20yrs. i've reset the suspension to the factory settings to have a starting point. and will soon be changing the fork oil. again ill start off with the factory recommendation so i have a baseline. What i want to get set right is the sag, done a search and it didnt help much. i think i need to be aiming for about 3" of sag on the rear and 2" on the forks with me on the bike in my riding gear. does that sound about right? does anyone have any idea where i can find out what rate springs i'll need? will be ringing around a few dealers after the holidays.

Put your mouse over 'Other' just under the main page banner and you'll get a drop-down menu including the said articles. That's got some basic stuff some of which may be some help. I've also got the V-Mar delta plates which jack up the back a bit though. I haven't used them myself yet but I hear good things about Sandifords - I'm sure they'll be able to give you some sound advice if you need some next week. Just out of interest you weren't riding at Lyng yesterday were you?
January 2, 200917 yr Author cheers for that. no, i'm up in mid wales. have looked at the v-mar plates. h&d also do some, will probably be getting some of those as well.
