Rear Master Cylinder Rebuild?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Does anybody know of where I could buy a rebuild kit for the rear brake master cylinder, I've phoned gasgas today and they don't do one, they said to buy a complete unit off a newer model '06 pro' which is 40quid +vat

obviously want to try and find cheaper alternative or somewhere to buy a second hand item, any suggestions???

I'm surprized they told you that, I think the rear M/C on the 01' TXT takes the "R350004" Kit and is a Brembo unit (#R350100) that fit the GasGas models from 1990 to 2004. It's an 11mm bore and I think several other brands used the same M.C. It's a very common M/C unit and you might try another dealer.

cheers for the replies gents

it appears to be leaking from the fitting where the feed from the reservior goes into the master cylinder and having spoken to gasgas again today parts for this wouldn't be in the kit anyway, so i'll need a complete unit

Provided the fitting itself is not broken, I think there is an o-ring there that could be replaced.

You can get a big box of orings for less than a tenner and they will come in useful.
