February 23, 200917 yr just out of curiosity, what coolant do you use in your bike? just water or, a 'proper' off the shelf coolant and why?
February 23, 200917 yr Not water.... if your using water make sure its de-ionised! I reccommend using a 50/50 coolant mix done with distilled water! Works fine and is perfectly safe for your bike!
February 23, 200917 yr Coolant is generally better at dissipating heat than water. Plus the right stuff will contain additives which won't cause corrosion in the way water might.
February 24, 200917 yr Engine Ice, basically propylene glycol and water. I figured with the '08 Beta magnesium cases I'd play it safe.

You contradicted yourself. Distilled water is not de-ionized. While it is mostly free of contaminates, distilled water is highly ionized and should not be used.
March 3, 200917 yr Ohhh shizer... I meant to say de-ionised again! Really shouldn't write on here when doing chemistry homework... Was doing a 3000 word essay about fractional distillation I apologise for getting me mords wuddled! Oh god... wrong type of distillation again Edited March 3, 200917 yr by shercoman2k8
