Hi

Need to repack the silencer on a 04 gas gas 200. Where is the best place to cut it open. Top straight across top on the grove thats pressed into the silencer bottom or length ways. Need to know before i attack it with hacksaw angle grinder and tin opener.

dont cut the silencer at all

just drill out the 4 pop rivets and remove the end

take out the baffle and remember which way it came out

get a bag of silentsport or similar from gas gas uk or local if you can

put the baffle back in the right way and pack the stlentsport around it

you should use 2/3 of the bag for 1 fill as this geives the correct fill

then put some in the end piece and put back on with pop rivets

Dooh no rivets in an o4 silencer, so just cut the end where the rivets would normaly be. Then follow previous instructions and reweld.
