Soth Midland Centre Expert Round 22/3/09

Featured Replies

The milton Buzzard mcc are hosting the first round of the centre championship (open to riders from any centre!!!!) at their newest venue of Hammonds park.

there is a variety of sections which feature a stream, a couple of steps for experts, some roots on banks and dry climbs. the venue riding area has been expanded and WILL provide a decent and different challenge worthy of a championship round.

The 50/50 route will still be sensible, opting out of any of the championship standard expert routes but still tougher than clubman who have their usual steady route.

10 sections have been plotted all off road so all welcome.

Further details to follow.

thespikeyone - Was that you at the North Berks trial today?

Twas indeed, I was the one throwing my scorpa away on section 3 :guinness: did I speak to you???

the surgeon didnt speak as he was a little upset ! throwing your bike away startled him somewhat making him spill his bottle of saunternes and drop his salmon and cucumber sandwiches. myself and all the kids thought it was great tho fererro rochers rolling about all over it was like an easter egg hunt. NICE !!!

Sections are sorted should be good.

Weather will be dry according to the forecast, sections for 50/50 take easier lines than the championship route so something for everyone.

Rode the 50/50 route today and i must say well done to the section setters as it was spot on  thanks to all the observers and the club for an excellent days sport

thanks for that, think we underestimated the effect of water carrying up from the stream would have but we'll know next time. Most of us feel there is little point in marking out a championship event to only get 6 riders on that route!

Be sure to book the june 50/50 date in as that should be a good do without the expert champs.

Nigel could you please point me in the direction of where the results get posted ? Thanks
