Hello iam new to the forum and hope to get some advice abut my ty 250 s mono.I bought the bike as a runner but it would only run for 5 mins then the spark would disapear and then start again after cooling down.I took the cover off and the flywheel to dicover water in and around the stator[quite alot of water]there is damage around the casing where someone has forced the flywheel off [this is where the water is getting in ]my quetion is will i have to replace both the source coil and the pickup coil and where is the best place to get them and will water have got into the crankcase .

Gday, sounds more like a trigger but it would be best to test them both to see which one is at fault. Use a standard multimeter set to AC volts, use a 10 volt scale for the trigger (pulser/pickup) and 100 volt scale for the stator.
