March 31, 200917 yr Hi, my Techno 250 has developped a fault where it will jump out of 3rd and 4th gear. I split the engine and had a good look at the gear box and I've identified the gear selector drum as the main culprit. This is all good and well except I have no idea where I'd be able to get a new one. As I've split the engine casing I'm going to do a few other things while its in bits on the workbench; New piston and rings, big and little end bearings, main bearings and seals, selector forks and a full gasket set. If anyone knows a supplier that can get these parts for '97 techno 250 I'd be really grateful for the contact info. Hope you can help. Cheers, Ben.
April 5, 200917 yr Author Hi, thanks! They can get the parts but will cost more than the bike is worth!!!! I've found a second hand 250 engine on ebay but its a '98 not a '97, does anyone know wether the parts would be compatable, from the photographs they look identical but I'd just like to be sure.
