March 31, 200917 yr Hi Guys, Thinking of getting a 290 Evo and just want to know, how is compares to the 270 Rev 3. Is it easier to ride or is it just as wild. I will try before I buy, but i want to know what to expect... Many Thanks
April 1, 200917 yr A frien of mine just sold his 2008 4rt and bought a 250 EVO; he has not looked back. Check out comments in the Beta area under a forum thread titled 290 EVO feedback.
April 1, 200917 yr I had a 2006 270 and swapped it in for a 290 Evo and I would do it again any day. Just go for it, I can promise that you will never look back. Just check out all of the threads regarding the Evo, not really any bad words so far.
April 2, 200917 yr Sorry I cant compare to a Rev but I have a Evo 290 and in comparison to a Sherco 290 its very tame. The motor has plenty of grunt but its very smooth. The only thing I am going to do to the bike it a little clutch work....other than that I am very,very happy. Edited April 2, 200917 yr by motofire
May 24, 201016 yr I had a 270 rev 3 and now got a 290 evo. What a bike it is, it has loads of power where on the rev 3 second gear was used everywhere you can use first on the evo and still have lots of power if needed . I wouldn't have anything else now what a lovely bike very light easy to ride they got it just right. hope this helps
