April 29, 200917 yr Hi all. Beta 08 250 4t. My kick start leaver broke the other week... a new one is here now so am happy. Has anyone else had a kick start break on them? Hummmm......there appears to be a silly stress riser machined into the stub shaft
April 29, 200917 yr The one on my dad's beta 4t has had so much wear & tear it is probably about to fall off, it's only just about hanging on.
April 30, 200917 yr Had the same problem earlier this year ,it appears to be a bad batch of castings,the replacement kick start was slightly different to the original I guess Beta have had a number of similar problems on the 4t....
April 30, 200917 yr Yes yes. There is a replacement kit including a new kick start axis. Was quite far away when it broke so luckily the 4 strokes are easy to push start. They also have had problems with the kick start gears (wheel/sprocket); which they also have a replacement kit for. This one is bit trickier to change as you have to remove the clutch basket... Apart from that and a broken gear shaft (also replaced) I have had no major problems with mine! /TJ
