Clutch Rattle, Dirty Oil, Clutch Dragging

Featured Replies

Hey folks!

Im having a bit of troule with my clutch, the other day when i was out my clutch started to slip in 3 going up a steep rocky hill,

I cam home a took the clutch plates out for inspection, all was fine so i rebuilt bike with fresh oil and took it for a spin! It had stopped slipping but is now rattling and dragging slightly

Also after only a few hours riding the oil is pretty black

compared to normal,

One last thing, Does anyone in gloucestershire have a spare clutch spring? lost it in the garage some where rggghh!!!!

Any help please?

I wouldn't worry about the spring. I took two out of mine to lighten the action and there was no problem with slippage but it is a 200.

Do you reckon it will be ok with a spring missing then? the clutch plate does move slightly uneven now,

If i can i will get one from bvm tomo but im not sure they will have one in stock!
