"gas Gas" On Ebay.

Featured Replies

around where I live alot of people refer to trials bikes as "gas gas" bikes. Dont know why but ive had a few people now say "my mate does gas gas riding" etc. Its a bit like "my mates got a harley" even though it's a yamaha chopper.

It looks as if it might have been a half decent bike at one time... anyone know what it actually is?

Yes, it's a pile of sh 1t

Oh Dear!!!

Looks like it's got a bit of all sorts slapped on it, Why would you have a single pot front caliper on a motocross? Especially with no back brake.

speedway? would make sense, they dont usually have any brakes (I think) but if I was to have one, it wouldnt need a strong one...

Looks like a Mecatechno 80 frame with a CG or XL Honda motor - or maybe a Chinese copy of one. Not sure about where the front forks are from.

If it was properly sorted, it would make a very nice Honda Special but you would just have to think that its got some dubious history behind it.

Try to look past the awful ebay listing and the crappy paint job and you can see that someone has done a half decent job of fitting the engine in that frame. That doesn't stop it being a pile of junk now though.

..possibly eligible for pre65 as it seems like anything is!

Nah I reckon its a Mecatecno 'Dragonfly', or whatever they called them, with that lump thrown in it
