hi all i'v just come across a honda xr200 1981 model i'v only ever seen another one and i owned it 10 years ago it was a twinshocker this is a mono. are ther many about or are they rare? (may part with it)

No. They're as common as muck. I don't know how many were bought into the UK though. They are an excellent motorcycle. A real giant killer. In really snotty, technical enduros you'd always find the XR200's at the head of the field, ahead of the KTM's, Huskys and other exotica. The reason was they had a nice docile power delivery. Just what you need in tough events.
