First time new post for me; I have a french friend coming over next year and would like to do a british trial with him whilst he is here. Can anybody reccomend suitable trials around end of March /April next year preferably two day with decent bit of interzone/riding twixt sections for older gents?

Put him off for a month and get him to do the greatest trial of the year with plenty of riding between sections.

colmore, wallace, victory, carter, lomax all fit the bill around then

Angela Redford & Bootle Traditional trials are excellent and well worth riding.

There are a few good Long Distance Trials at that time of year - these need a Pre65 or trail bike......
