November 8, 200916 yr Hi just bought my first trials bike a 2005 Beta rev 3 270 but do not have a manual. Could anyone tell me what type of Transmission oil to use or better still post a link for somewhere to buy it on the net. Anyones help is much appreciated Cheers Jamie
November 8, 200916 yr ATF Dexronlll, cheap and you can get it anywhere just about, swap it every 20 hours or so, works great in Rev 3's

November 8, 200916 yr haha, sorry buddy could'nt resist not everyone but quite a few, choice is yours, expensive stuff in shiney bottles or cheap stuff (ATF) in big ugly bottle and works better

November 8, 200916 yr I missed the 05 rev3, had an 04 and 06 though, there is a huge amount of info on the rev3's in the Beta forum, the carb ones will be the most usefull. Repacking the silencer is essential on the bike and an easy job to do, as well as adjusting cleaning the carb etc. I loved Boyesen reeds in my rev3's rather than the standard ones. The carb will be a **** to get back on if the previous owner has'nt swapped the airbox boot around, when you take it off next time see if the smaller bore is attached to the air box or carb, standard is small goes to the carb, swap it so the small goes to the airbox, far easier to get it back on the carb when refitting
November 8, 200916 yr Author Yeah its the same motor as on the 06 model but ill bare that in mind when i take the carb off. havn't pottered too much with it yet just been out on it once going back out on thursday with it just wanting to change tranny oil before i go to make sure its tip top.
