Does anybody know the directions of a 1997 Techno fuel tap, off,on,reserve

180 deg up wards = off.

90 deg left = on

180 deg down = reserve

Ah, well, while we're on the subject of '97 Technos. How much (and what grade) fork oil does it need? AND - although all the rear wheel spacers seem present and correct, the side wall of the tyre is chaffing the silencer. I'm currently shimming it out with washers from the local engineering shop and I still havn't got it quite right!

Phil I dont know if this will solve your problem but on my Techno I found that the rear exhaust rubber mounting rubber was to blame ( the one that connects to the frame and has a nut inside). When this takes a knock or starts to perish it allows the rear silencer to flex.
