December 20, 200916 yr Gday, according to my Beta parts manuals the 2 cranks have different numbers. It may pay to check with a dealer to see if the 99 crank supercedes the earlier one. The pictures look similar which means nothing of course. Which part of the crank is broken? If it is the pin, that is replaceable relatively easily. Cheers, Stork
December 20, 200916 yr Author it's the shaft that the flywheel sits on that is broken. my old man thinks that if the bore and stroke of a 94 is the same as a 99 (72.5mm by 60mm) it should be usable... (all sounds way to technical for me!)

You need to check it out with John Lampkin (he aint a bad sort & he will surely help you out re identification problems) I think ther was no change untill the Evo models but thats just think . Neccesity being the mother of invention you need to understand what is what for yourself. (sorry to preach but I.m an old fashioned old git) I really hope it goes well for you
December 23, 200916 yr Author thanks for the replies guys, i've ordered it it. phoned up John Collins MCs in south wales (who wasn't sure) and beta UK (who weren't too sure either) but we'll see if it does fit. I'm have to admit i'm in no way mechanically minded, but my old man is (but not very computer minded at all) - so we get there in the end.

July 20, 201016 yr Author we got the 94 crank in the end, it doesn't fit exactly but my old man and an engineering friend of our re-engineered it to make it fit and it worked
