I just purchased a new light for my Evo and It doesnt work?

I connected the only connector that would fit to it and tried cleaning the switch which was a bit dodgy but still doesnt work.

Anybody any ideas??

    my pick is that the beta switch/kill button is faulty. They are notorious for this. Infact there was a 3-4 page thing about this under the beta forum do a search....
