Grimeca Hub

Featured Replies

I have a bike fitted with a 110mm conical Grimeca hub which is very similar to those fitted to a Fantic.

It differs in the following ways;

the strengthening hubs internally are much larger,

there are small strengthening ribs visible on the outside of the hub,

the distance between the spoke sets left and right is narrower resulting in a narrower hub.

It was originally white.

Fantic sprocket and back plate fit.

The bike was constructed in about 1983 or 1984.

Does anyone have one for sale or know of a model it was fitted to.

The hub width is not the same as the fantic.

The drum size is definately the same so I was probably wrong.

I have never had a CCM Armstrong etc so cannot compare.

Thanks.

What bike is it fitted to at the moment?

Whats wrong with the hub?

Have you got a photo you can show us?

Thanks

Martin

PS. Just found a picture of an Italjet 250....this had Grimeca hubs that were painted white.

I think if you changed the colour and headlight it would look really nice, seems to have nice lines, i like it!

The wheel is on an Italjet 4 banger.

I want a spare as usual.

I wondered if it was fitted to other makes as it is not easy to find broken (other than the kickstarts) bikes.

Thanks for your help.
