Helmet Problem?

Featured Replies

I managed to drop my Airoh helmet from a shelf until a slate floor from about 1.5 metres high. At the time it was still in the cloth bag and I didn't think much about till tonight when I went out for a practice and found the damage to the top of the helmet

I'm concerned that it may have damaged it more than I realise and was wondering what peoples opinions are on it? Should I replace it with a new one?

Cheers.

Replace it, its not worth your life.. Plus could crack when you have a small fall causing you a head injury

Thats what I was thinking. I seem to remember somebody saying that its wise to replace a helmet if its been dropped but I wasn't sure it that was accurate or not.

chuck it in the bin mate, even if there was no sign of damage after a drop like that its still rubish... there can be damage in the internals of the lid . thats why you shud leave secondhand ones on ebay....

Nah, it's just a couple of little chips in the Gelcoat.

Save your money and wear it.

I don't know you, do I? ;)
