January 16, 200521 yr Hi I have just bought a 2005 gas gas 250 pro and it is brilliant .... But I have a few problems with it,The side stand filcks up when it is parked even when its on a flat concrete floor and also the bottom yoke hits the frame when its on full lock. not like on my old montesa which has little nylon stoppers which the yoke hit insted of the frame. Is this hows its ment to be or it there a problem?? Cheers Danny Edited January 16, 200521 yr by Trials Lad
January 16, 200521 yr the steering does that, the stands are meant to do that but yours sounds a little fierce
January 17, 200521 yr Hey Trials lad - Some of the Gassers come with the sidestand spring on backwards - try reversing the way it is fitted.
January 17, 200521 yr i gave mine a few knocks with a brummie spanner (hammer) to bend it back a bit it stop it falling
January 17, 200521 yr Dave has it right, but it is done on purpose by GasGas so the stand self retracts. All you need to do is remove the spring and the little metal bar (extends the spring) at the end. The metal bit will be at the top in stock form, replace it with the metal bit on the bottom and your stand will stay down. Yes, the clamps contact the frame at full lock...nothing to worry about.
